Resident Nun

Ven. Shi Fa Zhi is a Graduate with a Masters degree from the National Kaohsiung University in Taiwan. She also possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Communications from the Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages. She is also a graduate from the Malaysian Perak Institute of Art.

 

Her keenness and interest to teach led her to lecture at the Ciyun Temple in Penang, Malaysia from 1999 - 2004. She has served as a teaching assistant at the National Kaohsuing Normal University at the Graduate Institute of Adult Education from 2010-2011; Dharma lecturer at Amitabha Temple in Gengshean, Kaohsiung Taiwan from 2010-2013. She was a lecturer at Xinche Temple of Kaohsiung, Taiwan from 2013-2017.

 

Ven. Shi Fa Zhi who is an art enthusiast has been practicing Chinese calligraphy since her youth. Her passion for photography and art inspired her to lead a group from the Guangde Temple at the National Taiwan University to a cross-straits Dharma Education Exchange Exhibition in 1998. She was also a graphic designer for the Taiwan World’s Buddhist Chinese Sangha Council and the Buddhist Association of the Republic of China in 2001. She became the editor-in-chief at Wenzao Ursuline University of languages in 2007. She was the illustrator of an Art book for the Quigshan Kindergarten in Taiwan.

 

It is gratifying to note that she is a recipient of several awards.

 

  • Outstanding performance award for being PIC at Life and Death Education Seminar – National Kaohsuing Normal University - Graduate Institue of Adult Education ( 2011)

  • 2nd runner up for creative photography teaching excellence award at Wenzao Ursuline University of Language ( 2007)

  • Outstanding service award Kaopshing Private Jing-jue Kindergaten (2006)

 

She has since returned to Malaysia to serve the community in Malaysia and is currently residing at the Ti-Ratana Centre at Taman Bukit Anggerik, Cheras on the invitation of Ven. Datuk K Sri Dhammaratana Nayaka Maha Thera and Tiratana Committee members. Her Dhamma sharing in Mandarin are inbuilt with wit and wisdom and she hopes to transform individuals to have charisma and live a life that is rich and fulfilling. We wish her the very best in her pursuits to enrich the community in Cheras and the Klang Valley.

Ven Hemaloka Thera

Ven H. Hemaloka Thera, Resident Sangha and Adviser, obtained his Masters in Education and Masters in Business Administration from Olympia College Kuala Lumpur, and since his graduation, has volunteered his services and skills as the resident spiritual adviser and teacher at Ti-Ratana Welfare Society, Sukha Dhamma School and Ti-Ratana Lumbini Garden. Ven Hemaloka also conducts meditation workshops for the students at Sukha Dhamma School.

Ven Hemaloka provides physical, moral, and spiritual support to senior residents, children and teens at the Ti-Ratana Welfare Society Desa Petaling Welfare Homes. He manages the daily spiritual programmes at the centre, organizes events and workshops for the children, helping them to find happiness in their hearts. By his example, he shows us how to practically and joyfully integrate Buddha's teachings into our daily lives. He is an inspiring example for all of us at Sukha Dhamma School.
